It's the simple things..
It's Thursday and like every Thursday, hubs is off from work. We usually go couponing and/or spend the day hanging with our kiddos. This day is different....
Hubs had a whole day planned with a series of dates for us. Since the big kids are away visiting family and we only have Milan... this should be easy. Here's how it went...
He had planned for us to go and get breakfast. Actually sit somewhere and enjoy a lovely breakfast. We usually get something to bring home. Anywho, we never went Lol. It never happened. I decided to let him sleep in a little and by the time he did get up, we were too lazy to get dressed. Next!
Then there was a movie. A few weeks back, I won a fandango gift card.. since then, we've been talking about going on a movie date. Today would've been perfect. Guess what happened? We didn't make it there either lol. This time it was my fault. I couldn't wrap my head around seeing a sequel to a movie when I've never seen the first one.. does that make sense? Haha, I may be a bit difficult ;) I mean, he does still love me lol. Also, I felt nervous about bringing Milan (who is less than 3 months old).. into a movie theater. She does the cutest baby babble when she's dozing off to sleep. Could you imagine trying to watch a movie and hearing a cute baby babbling herself to sleep? Haha. It's very cute though, but we skipped the movie.
Last but not least, our final date was going out for lunch. We did that to say the least. It was very yummy. Then we went to a few different stores, did a little shopping plus window shopping. On the way home, we stopped for ice cream. Laughed alot and just enjoyed each other's time. The moral of the story is, although we did half of what we planned to do today. Everything was still perfect. We had an amazing time together. We don't always have the time to spent with just us, so today was well worth it. Plus, we didn't have to spend a ton of money. Everything we did today was inexpensive.
